The City of Llani

The elves of Llani have existed on the island of Thelliene since time immemorial. The city itself shares little in common with others, even those of other elves. The population is made up mostly of wild elves who have formed a symbiotic relationship with the dryads on the island. Most of the buildings are formed from the bonded trees of the dryads, providing shelter to the elves in exchange for protection and care. There is also a population of pixies and various other fey who have existed nearly as long as the elves, using their magic to cultivate the land.

The community is adept in the use of ancient primal magic and have spent the better part of their existence cultivating the land, learning to coexist as a part of it rather than bend it to their will. Although considered a city by the neighboring humans on the island, Llani is a community without boarders, or rather it would be more appropriate to say Llani comprises the entirety of Thelliene. Their culture is reflective of its people, cultivating and nurturing, yet dangerous and brutal when angered, as such druids and barbarians are commonplace. Although not officially ruled, the people of Llani are guided by the Emerald Crown, a collection of elders of various walks of life, everything from warriors, healers, and tenders of the land. The Emerald Crown is represented by a speaker, who is chosen by the elders each time the speaker reaches the end of their life or steps down, the current speaker is the druid Diccea.
